The Customer Support Representative (CSR) supports customers and related parties (dealers, appraisers, other collectors interested in customers’ items) by responding to various requests, questions, suggestions, and comments via phone and email.
Responsibilities
- Handle incoming calls and emails from customers, with the courtesy and professionalism to resolve issues with as few interactions as possible
- Communicate with customers using web-based tools and demonstrate professional proficiency in typing and grammar
- Maintain scheduling flexibility to ensure full customer coverage
- Maintain customer focus to ensure fast response times for all channels of customer communication
- Document all contacts in Bowerbird’s support systems.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of the Internet and its technologies (email, web browsers, etc.)
- Software: MS Windows 2000, XP, Windows7, MS Office applications, iOS
- Ability to communicate (orally & written) correctly and clearly with all customers
- Excellent documentation and typing skills
- Excellent comprehension skills-- ability to clearly understand and state the issues customers present
- Good composition skills-- ability to compose a grammatically correct, concise, and accurate written response
- Work successfully in a team environment as well as independently
- Excellent customer service skills, including maintaining focus on the customer issue amidst a bustling, fast-paced environment
- Ability to empathize with, prioritize and escalate (when necessary) customer needs
- Demonstrable interpersonal skills with a diverse customer base
- Demonstrable conflict resolution, negotiating, and de-escalation skills
- Effective problem solving skills including decision making, time management & immediate prioritization of tasks as assigned
Education and Experience
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a customer service or technical support call center, preferably in a software or technical product
Requirements
- Ability to provide United States work authorization
